Supt. Jerome Harris
The vision was casted, and through the power and presence of God the ministry began to grow. After two years as the senior leader; Pastor Harris felt a push to return to his roots, THE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST. In 2002 we returned and were installed as members of the NorCal Metropolitan Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop J.W. Macklin.
The church continued to grow which called for us to relocate again. That place was found in the mid-summer of 2003 and CTC moved to Saint Christopher Episcopal Church in the city of San Leandro, where we remained until the purchase of our current location. In 2007 CTC brought an abandoned church building at 9330 Walnut Street in the city of Oakland Ca. 94603.
After eighteen years the ministry has undergone many seasons, yet the vision continues to move forward.
First Lady Sonya Harris
As the First lady of CTC Your Church on the Block and Director of the Women’s Department, I believe that God has a plan and a purpose for every woman.
The purpose of the Women’s’ Ministry is to motivate, strengthen and equip the roles of the Christian woman as written in Proverbs 31: 10-31. The ultimate goal is for every woman to fully understand God calls us to LOVE him first and foremost, with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. Then, allow that rich LOVE we enjoy in Him to overflow into our family, neighbors and into the lives of others (Luke 10:27)

PRESIDENT
Dr. Shirley Tucker-Harris
Dr. Tucker-Harris has served as our Trustee board president for the past 15 years. A licensed medical physician, she serves with compassion and caring for others. She is a foundational member of the church, and very gifted.
CFO
Frances Crump
Missionary Crump has been our trusted treasurer for the past 20 years. She serves with Excellence and Attention to detail. She also has a passion for teaching God’s Word, and has been a dedicated Sunday School teacher at our church for the past 20 years.
SECRETARY
Kimberly Moses
Sis. Kim is a missionary and dedicated member of our church community. She helps run the food outreach program and has a huge heart for others, especially those who are homeless, in foster care, incarcerated, lost, hurting, or otherwise in need.

Dr. Sonia Hairston
Another licensed physician, Sis. Hairston has served on our Trustee board for 12 years. She is mother of 3, and excels in planning, organization, strategy, and execution. We are blessed to have her as part of our church community and leadership board.

Angie Duckworth
Sis. Angie is a missionary and dedicated member of our church community. She assists the first-lady directly, and also helps with church planning as an Executive Assistant. She has a humble spirit and proclaims the Glory of the Lord with power.

Elder Robey Moses
Elder Moses is a passionate Leader of our men’s ministry who has a Servant-heart. He is known by many for being loving, Gentle, Wise, and worshiping in spirit and truth! A mighty teacher of God’s Word with a Huge heart for others, he also helps lead our food outreach program and door-to-door ministry.
